August 20th, Budapest fireworks continues

Monday, August 9, 2010 - The big fireworks that traditionally on August 20 to commemorate the Hungarian national holiday 'Szent István napja' on the Danube in Budapest will be held this year. Although there is something from the government to cutbacks. Costing 150 million forint to the organization of the fireworks and all action all round this year by the State 120-130000000 Forint contributing. That the fireworks will be a modest size is partly due to the successful action on Facebook, "We see from fireworks on August 20" which more than one quarter million people expressed the support.

Then came this site on Facebook organizational set. It is no longer possible to sign, but on that site can still be paid money for the victims of the flood. Really stop the fireworks, the makers of the website initiative did not succeed. Yet there they created a new consciousness and solidarity, the Government will consider how to organize the celebrations are different. For example, the arrows are not fireworks as usual from the bridges and the Citadel are chipped, but from barges in the Danube, according to a spokesman for the Interior Ministry. The safety aspect plays a role in the past was quite something wrong. About costs and damages is legally still considerably rope drawn.

This August 20th will also completely dominated by the flood disaster in the country. Among the new government recently proclaimed slogan like 'National Cooperation' for this day they have the slogan "Együtt az Ország" (The country is together) conceived. A Hungarian cake consisting of 1000  cakes will be shared among the five hundred children invited to the capital who were victims of the flood. For these children there all day created a festive program. A special song for the day, composed by Sylvester Levay Gyorgy Szomor with a text, together sung by many famous Hungarian singers. On TV and the radio was to listen, not least for listeners to call to deposit money for the victims of the flood. Exactly five minutes before the fireworks at 21.00 outside the song will be heard on the Danube, while on the quay between the Margit and Szabadság HID to be publicly and distributed the candles.
